TESTING TIMES
OPENINGS
were delighted to be asked to install automated
bi-parting sliding gates by one of our best
clients.
The
installation required 7 safety edges in order
for it to comply with current European and English
LAW and for OPENINGS to fully pressure test
and issue the appropriate CE certification and
EN12453 standard certification.
When
closing the leading safety edges are required
to react within .75 of a second. The reaction
time was 1.15 of a second or .40 of a second
too slow and therefore giving a FAIL on the
pressure test thus not enabling OPENINGS to
issue a compliance certificate.

worry we archived the required .75 of a second
and issued the compliance certificates.
